Half a year for whole gaming community to go Vista and DX10 GPU, they must be kidding (game will flop without buyers) or the quote part is false. Q3 2007 (CoH2 release date) ends in Jand that would be just 4-7 months after the first DX10 card. Now first DirectX 10 card was released November 2006 and following the same pattern would push the first DirectX 10 only game to October 2007 = Q1 2008. First DirectX 9 only game was Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness released 11 months after in July 2003 (if I remember correctly). (well that doesn't say much :P).įirst DirectX 9 capable card, the Radeon 9700 PRO was released August 2002.
